The journey begins in the charming town of Antofagasta, where our team will greet and collect you.
We then set off towards Carachi Pampa, an expansive salt desert that extends endlessly into the horizon. This salt flat is renowned for its otherworldly landscapes and serene ambiance. Along the way, we’ll pass by the basaltic flows of the volcano, the vibrant Cerro de Colores, and the vast saltpeter plains.
Our subsequent destination is the Carachi Pampa Lagoon, an enchanting spot where the water shifts colors with the changing sunlight. It’s the perfect place to spot the Andean flamingo, a species that thrives in this picturesque lagoon.
Our adventure continues to the Campo de Piedra Pómez, a sprawling area of white, porous rock formations that seem to belong to another world. Here, you'll have the opportunity to wander through the area, capturing postcard-worthy photographs and delving into this extraordinary landscape.
We will then embark on a 63km journey along a sandy, gravel road back to the town of Antofagasta de la Sierra. During the return trip, there will be ample opportunities to snap some truly one-of-a-kind images from the vehicle.
