We will kick off our journey at 8:00 am, meeting at the designated point. Departing from Las Grutas, we will embark on National Route 3, a legendary roadway that links Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, with Ushuaia, the southernmost city on the continent.
As we traverse the 230 km stretch from Las Grutas to Puerto Pirámides, several sites of interest await us. We will drive through Sierra Grande, known for housing Argentina's largest iron mine. A captivating stop at the Istmo Ameghino Interpretation Center will provide us with a guided overview of the diverse fauna and flora of the Patagonian steppe and the peninsula's coastline. Here, we can admire the best-preserved skeleton of the Southern Right Whale and take in the stunning panoramic views of the Nuevo and San José Gulfs from the center's viewpoint.
Before reaching Puerto Pirámides, we'll stop at the Mirador la Lobería to observe sea lions and cormorants. This spot serves as a permanent rookery for One-Hair Sea Lions, and during the breeding season from October to April, we can witness the largest colonies in the area, boasting over 1,000 specimens.
Upon arriving in Puerto Pirámides, you'll have free time to explore. Options include a nautical tour, a relaxing afternoon on the beach, a stroll through the town, or savoring a delightful seaside lunch.

We'll visit the main shopping centers, providing time to pick up souvenirs. Puerto Madryn is renowned for its vibrant tourism scene, supporting fishing and various water sports such as kayaking, boating, windsurfing, kitesurfing, and surfing.
