The Glaciarium is conveniently situated just 7 km from El Calafate, en route to the Perito Moreno Glacier. Complimentary transfers are available from a designated meeting point, departing every hour or half-hour, with returns every thirty minutes. The first shuttle from El Calafate to the Glaciarium aligns with opening hours, while the last return trip coincides with closing time.
This experience does not adhere to a strict schedule beyond the opening and closing times of the Glaciarium. Although the visit to the museum and a 20-minute stay at the Glacio Bar typically takes about 3 hours, visitors are encouraged to enjoy the experience at their own pace.
As you enter the Glaciarium, you will pass through a dark hallway, accompanied by the soothing sound of dripping meltwater. Informative panels provide insights into the formation of ice, the history of explorers and scientists, and glaciological periods, featuring photographs by renowned Argentine photographers like Florian Von der Flecht, Daniel Wagner, and Andrés Bonetti.
You'll encounter a large model representing the ice field, illustrating the origin of the glaciers you'll see during your visit. There is also a tribute to Francisco Pascasio Moreno.

Upon entering, guests receive thermal layers and gloves. The internal temperature ranges from -6 to -10 °C. The 20-minute experience is enhanced with animation, lights, and music, creating a lively atmosphere as you enjoy a shot and drink (including spirits, aperitifs, liqueurs, and non-alcoholic beverages) included in the experience.
