Descripción del Tour:
The excursion kicks off with hotel pick-ups starting at 9:00 am, heading north to explore the Jesuit Ranches of Colonia Caroya and Jesús María. These sites hold great significance as they have been designated as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO for being a part of the historic route of the Ancient Royal Road to Upper Peru.
Colonia Caroya is a destination that beautifully combines regional flavors, wineries, and religious trails, making it perfect for enjoying nature, local cuisine, and relaxation. Our visit here will focus on its historical and religious significance.
The tour's first stop is the Tourist Interpretation Center and the Jesuit Legacy of Colonia Caroya, where we will spend approximately 15 to 20 minutes learning about the territorial and historical development of the Society of Jesus in this region.
Next, we head to the Colonia Caroya Ranch, the first rural establishment founded by the Society of Jesus in 1616, where we will stay for around an hour. Here, we will explore the museum, whose exhibits offer insights into the Jesuit Legacy, its operation as the "First White Arms Factory," and the significant Italian influence.
After spending time at this estancia, we proceed to Jesús María, a land rich in heritage, culture, and history, and one of the province's most important cities.
During our panoramic tour, we'll pass through the countryside where the Taming and Folklore Festival of Argentina is held each January. Ultimately, we will arrive at the Jesuit Estancia Jesús María, established in 1618. For about an hour and a half, we'll explore the museum and its rooms showcasing Cusco's sacred art, archaeology, ceramics, and more.
At the end of our 4-hour journey, we will return to Córdoba and drop you off at your hotel.
