Kayak On Huemul Island

The excursion begins at 9 am with a basic paddling skills class, perfect for both those who have never kayaked and those with experience. You will then cross over to Huemul Island, paddling along its banks and walls, where you can appreciate the impressive geology. You can see walls up to 40 meters high that continue underwater, revealing how the ice shaped this ancient landscape.

One of the most striking moments of the tour is sailing over the “Don Luis”, a sunken vessel visible several meters deep thanks to the transparency of the water. The sensation of floating over submerged history is unique and completely different from any other experience in Bariloche.

Once on land, the excursion continues with a hike through the forest that leads to the ruins of the Huemul Atomic Project. This site is a fundamental part of the origin of nuclear science and technology in Argentina. Its abandoned, monumental-style structures are perfect for exploring and photographing.

The activity ends around 3:00 PM. An exclusive experience that combines nature, adventure, and history in a single tour.
