In the early morning, we will depart from our chosen hotels and set out on National Route 101, a path frequented by locals, visitors, and settlers visiting their families. Our journey will commence as we reach the Gendarmerie post, marking the start of our adventure.
We will ready our gear and bicycles, utilizing Scott bikes to navigate a 10 km dirt trail that may present challenges like puddles, mud, rocks, and steep inclines. We will begin by traveling 2 km along the route before entering the trail within the jungle. Here, we will pedal an additional 3 km until we arrive at the banks of the Iguazú River. Based on our physical condition, we can explore longer distances, soaking in the breathtaking, untamed, and scarcely explored scenery.
Throughout our journey, we will pause for interpretive stops, offering us opportunities to observe small mammals, birds, and butterflies. Enhancing our chances of spotting these creatures is one of our key goals. This setting is perfect for gaining insight into the workings of the jungle and learning how to preserve it.
Following our break, we will return to our selected hotels in Puerto Iguazú.
