Descripción del Tour:

The walking tour kicks off at our office located in the San Telmo neighborhood. Known as one of the oldest areas in Buenos Aires, San Telmo boasts a lively tango and arts scene. Its antique markets, distinctive street lighting (referred to as "lanterns"), cobblestone streets, historic buildings, and original decorations contribute to the neighborhood's unique bohemian atmosphere. Sundays are particularly bustling due to the vibrant street market around Plaza Dorrego.

As the tour begins, we will explore the San Telmo market, a historic building inaugurated in 1897 to cater to the influx of immigrants at that time. Today, it features a mix of stalls selling meat, vegetables, and other groceries, alongside vendors offering local and international culinary delights. Here, we will savor some mouthwatering empanadas.
Our journey continues along Defensa Street, right in the heart of San Telmo, leading us to Plaza Dorrego. After browsing the various crafts stalls, we will hop on a bus to visit La Boca, renowned for the Boca Juniors stadium and the vibrant Caminito street. We will be captivated by the street tango performances and discover how tango, soccer, and diverse immigrant influences have made Buenos Aires one of the world’s most alluring cities. We'll take a break here to enjoy a coffee and a snack.
We will board another bus to admire the modern skyscrapers of Puerto Madero en route to Plaza de Mayo, the main square of Buenos Aires and the political hub of Argentina. Our visit includes the Metropolitan Cathedral, a view of the Cabildo (the colonial City Hall), and the Casa Rosada, the executive seat of power.
Following our exploration of the square, we will proceed to the Obelisk, an emblem of Buenos Aires, experiencing the daily life of an Argentine citizen as we walk along the bustling Avenida 9 de Julio, the widest avenue in the world. Historical landmarks and streets will illustrate the city's evolution since its inception.
Riding the subway, we will arrive in the Recoleta neighborhood, noted for its stunning architecture, numerous museums, elegant cafes and restaurants, exclusive avenues, and shopping centers.
We will visit the remarkable Recoleta Cemetery, the final resting place for many of the country's aristocratic families and notable historical figures, including Eva Duarte Perón. Here, our tour concludes, leaving you with the rest of the afternoon to explore at your leisure.
