This adventure kicks off with a hotel pick-up from downtown Bariloche at 01:00 PM. We journey approximately 17 km west, passing by Playa Bonita until we arrive at the village nestled at the mountain's base. Throughout the drive, our guide will share insights into the significance of this mountain for both Bariloche and Argentina.
Upon reaching the village, you'll have time to explore shops and enjoy a meal at the local restaurants and cafés.
In the spring and summer months, we can access the mountain's base, where snow is absent, yet as we climb, the breathtaking views of the mountain range unfold. During the winter, the mountain transforms into South America's largest ski resort, featuring 120 kilometers of slopes spread over roughly 600 hectares.
Subsequently, we proceed to the chairlifts for a ride to the summit of Cerro Catedral. Our guide will be on hand, allowing us to capture stunning photographs of the mountain and surrounding nature, while taking in panoramic vistas of Nahuel Huapi Lake, Gutiérrez Lake, the western mountain range, and the distant Chilean volcanic peaks. We may also catch a glimpse of Bariloche city.
Afterward, you'll have free time to relax and explore the area at your leisure.
Finally, at approximately 05:00 PM, we head back to Bariloche, where you'll be conveniently dropped off at your hotel.
