Descripción del Tour:

Your guide will collect you from your hotel in Bariloche, and you'll embark on a journey to the Limay River. This river is the most significant within the National Park, with expansive waters streaming from the massive Nahuel Huapi at its eastern tip, located approximately 17 km (11 miles) from Bariloche. As it winds through dry, rocky mesas adorned with pine forests, it presents breathtaking scenery and pleasant weather. Known for its abundance of rainbow and brown trout, as well as some Patagonian perch, the river is a paradise for fishing enthusiasts. From November through March, dry fly fishing is plentiful, and in April, the season's final month, large trout make their journey from the lake to the river. Anglers can choose from five distinct sections of the river, each spanning about 10 miles. The crystal-clear waters, stunning landscapes, and exceptional fishing opportunities make this floating adventure truly memorable.
Upon reaching the boarding area along the Limay River, your guide will introduce you to the fishing techniques available for this excursion:
  • Fly-fishing: This method employs a specially weighted line and “dressed” hooks mimicking insects, minnows, and shrimp, cast using various techniques. Though it requires patience and practice to master a good cast, fly-fishing has long been popular worldwide and continues to grow in popularity. Every year, countless seasoned anglers visit Patagonia from various countries to practice their craft in these pristine, secluded fishing spots, alongside novices eager to refine their skills.
  • Spinning: This technique involves casting artificial lures, such as spoons or spinners, with the appropriate rod and reel. Suitable for fishing from the shore or boats, it's recommended to use ultra-light equipment and lures, preferably with single barbless hooks.
You will then embark on your floating trip, navigating the Limay River, and fish at the finest spots the river has to offer.
Accompanied at all times by your guide, you'll also delve into the history of the Bariloche region and discover the top fishing locations as well as the local wildlife.
After enjoying a morning or afternoon of drifting and fishing, you will return to the shore, where our assistants will be ready to escort you back to your hotel.
