Reserve a half-day private fishing adventure, whether you prefer fly fishing or spinning, with the guidance of our expert local guides. They will lead you on a floating expedition down the Limay River. This tour accommodates two anglers aboard Cata-Rafts, specially designed vessels ideal for navigating swift mountain rivers, reaching fishing spots inaccessible to motor boats. We will journey approximately 12 km (7 miles) along the Limay River during this half-day excursion, allowing for fishing directly from the boat while drifting, as well as frequent stops to wade and fish from the riverbanks at prime locations.
Upon concluding the trip, our assistant will be waiting downstream with trucks and trailers to transport everyone back to their accommodations.
All fishing equipment and gear are provided (including rods, reels, lines, flies, waders, shoes, etc.).
Tour Description
- Fly-fishing: This method employs a specially weighted line and “dressed” hooks mimicking insects, minnows, and shrimp, cast using various techniques. Though it requires patience and practice to master a good cast, fly-fishing has long been popular worldwide and continues to grow in popularity. Every year, countless seasoned anglers visit Patagonia from various countries to practice their craft in these pristine, secluded fishing spots, alongside novices eager to refine their skills.
- Spinning: This technique involves casting artificial lures, such as spoons or spinners, with the appropriate rod and reel. Suitable for fishing from the shore or boats, it's recommended to use ultra-light equipment and lures, preferably with single barbless hooks.
