In the morning, we will collect you from your hotel in Bariloche and transport you to Cerro Otto. Upon arrival at the winter resort, participants will be grouped based on their chosen activity, and an instructor will provide briefings and outline the day's itinerary.
Nordic Ski Day
Nordic (or cross-country) skiing is a winter activity accessible to most people. It can be enjoyed from a young age and does not demand exceptional physical fitness. Unlike alpine skiing, it takes place on flat or gently rolling terrain, making it safer and more straightforward to learn. As such, it is an excellent introduction to snow activities for newcomers to winter sports.
This activity features a group lesson lasting approximately 90 minutes, designed to be interactive and perfect for families or friends. After instructing participants in the basics, the instructor will guide them along trails through the forest to viewpoints offering breathtaking vistas.
During the initial phase of the lesson, movements are practiced in an area with minimal incline, allowing participants to build confidence. Following this, the instructor will lead them down the beginner slope through the lenga forest, characterized by gentle undulations and stunning views of Lake Nahuel Huapi. At the slope's end, a viewpoint offers a panoramic view of the lake, perfect for photos.
Post-lesson, you may continue skiing until shortly before the shuttle departs to return you to your hotel.
The center offers approximately 10 kilometers of slopes with varying difficulty levels. The beginner slopes feature marked tracks dedicated to classic Nordic skiing along their entire length.
Once the activity concludes, you can continue to enjoy the snow and admire the scenery until just before the shuttle departs to take you back to your hotel.
