Tour Description
The tour kicks off at 8:30 am with a convenient pick-up from centrally located hotels in Bariloche, as we embark on route 258 heading towards the southern region of Nahuel Huapi Park. Throughout our journey, we will be following the Manso River until we arrive at Josh's Estancia, where a warm welcome awaits us.
Upon arrival, we will be served coffee, don our navigation gear, and listen to a safety briefing from the lead guide. After the briefing, we will be ready to begin our adventure navigating the final section of the Manso River within Argentina. In the initial phase, the river's calmness allows us to revel in the scenery, relax on white sandy beaches, and admire the waterfalls cascading into the river.
As we progress, the Manso River becomes more spirited, offering thrilling moments as we ride the exhilarating rapids through narrow canyons, where the area's dense vegetation thrives: El Cajón de Terciopelo, Agujero de Ozono, Gritá y beblá a la izquierda, el Tobogancito, Garganta Profunda, Éxtasis, Huevo Revuelto, Colmillo, and Internacional... The gorges guide us on our journey through the Andes Mountains.
Our excursion concludes as we arrive at the Chilean border: the Border Marker marks this significant point. We will pack up our gear and return to John's Estancia via a new path that traces an old muleteer's trail, skirting streams and crossing ravines along the way.
At John’s Estancia, we will be captivated not only by the family’s heartfelt hospitality but also by the unmatched beauty of this quintessential Patagonian ranch. Its charming house, barns, stunning garden, and grove showcase over fifty years of dedication. This astounding landscape is further enhanced by the view of Cerro Bastión.
Once the tour concludes, we will drive back to the center of Bariloche and drop you off at your centrally located hotel.
