Frequently Asked Questions
Ski equipment rental for tourists typically includes skis, boots, and poles suited to your skill level (beginner, intermediate, or advanced). You can add essential accessories for your mountain experience: helmet, goggles, gloves, thermal clothing, and waterproofs. Upgrades to "performance" or "premium" equipment are also usually available for improved gliding on the slopes. The rental service typically includes technical advice, binding checks, and safety recommendations. The typical rental duration is per day of skiing, with multi-day options available to optimize your budget during peak season. Check availability and combinations with transfers, ski lessons, or passes to ski resorts in Argentina.
For a comfortable and safe skiing experience, please provide your height, weight, shoe size, and skiing level when booking. This information will be used to select appropriate ski and boot lengths and adjust the bindings to the correct DIN setting. At the pick-up point, you can try on the equipment, request fine adjustments to the cuff and instep, and exchange sizes subject to availability. Our expert staff will help you achieve a snug yet comfortable fit to prevent discomfort. Children's sizes are available for families with children. We recommend booking in advance during peak season and arriving a few minutes early to try on the equipment at your leisure.
Travelers typically pick up their equipment at a shop near the ski resort or at a travel agency logistics center. Extended hours are available during peak season, and depending on availability, early pickup is allowed to make the most of the day. Returns are usually made at the end of the day or at the end of the last day of the rental period. Some companies offer delivery to your hotel or the mountain for an additional fee. Bring your ID and credit card for a security deposit if required. To optimize your trip, confirm the exact address, hours, and whether lockers or ski storage are available. Advance booking is recommended.
Rates vary depending on the season (high/low), equipment category (standard or performance), and the number of days of travel. Discounts are often available for early booking, family groups, and multi-day packages. Check payment methods (international credit card, bank transfer) and whether installments apply. Change and cancellation policies may be flexible with prior notice; sometimes a partial refund or credit for rescheduling is offered. During peak season, it's advisable to secure availability with advance payment. A security deposit and/or damage insurance may be required. Check current conditions, promotions, and no-show restrictions before confirming to optimize your ski trip budget.
For safe skiing, equipment undergoes regular maintenance: disinfection of boots and helmets, inspection of bindings, and sharpening/waxing of skis. Wear a helmet and respect the rules of the slopes. Many companies offer optional insurance against breakage or theft with a deductible; without this insurance, damage charges may apply. If weather forces the ski resort to close, some policies allow you to reschedule days or issue credits, depending on the conditions. Check the procedure for on-site assistance, size exchanges or adjustments, and what documentation to keep for any claims. Reviewing these coverages before traveling will prevent problems.
