Frequently Asked Questions
Snowboard rentals for your winter trip typically include a board, boots, and bindings tailored to your experience level. Many shops offer helmets as a recommended extra for snow sports and on-slope safety; you can also add wrist guards or back protection. Sizes range from junior to adult, with options for beginners, intermediate, and advanced skiers. A personalized fitting is usually provided to ensure comfort and control at the ski resort. In some cases, upgrades to premium or freeride/park-specific equipment are available. Size exchanges due to discomfort are generally permitted, subject to local availability.
To secure your equipment before your trip, select rental dates, size, skill level, and any extras during the online booking process. Complete your contact and traveler details. Payment is typically made via secure payment gateway using a credit card or bank transfer, in local currency. A refundable deposit may apply upon equipment collection. After payment, you will receive a voucher via email with your booking details. Present your ID and voucher at your destination to have your equipment delivered and adjusted. If you are traveling during peak season, book in advance to ensure availability and secure the best rates at your chosen resort.
Change and cancellation policies vary, but they typically offer flexible rescheduling with advance notice and subject to availability. If you need to change dates due to adjustments in your travel itinerary, contact customer service before the start of your rental. In case of adverse weather or ski resort closures, many companies allow you to change dates, issue credit for another date during the season, or apply partial refunds, depending on their terms and conditions. No-shows on the pick-up date may result in penalties. We suggest purchasing travel insurance and carefully reviewing the terms and conditions when booking. Communicate early to find the best alternative.
Snowboard equipment pickup is usually at a shop in the city center or at locations at the base of the ski resort. You must present your ID and booking voucher to expedite the fitting process. Opening hours vary depending on the season; during peak season, it's best to arrive early. Some companies offer delivery to hotels or tourist accommodations for an additional fee and with prior arrangement. Returns are made to the same pickup location, and late arrivals may incur extra charges. Sometimes it's possible to pick up the afternoon before, subject to availability. Ask about transportation, equipment bags, and recommendations for safe transport.
Rental equipment for winter tourism is usually provided in optimal condition, with sharp edges and wax appropriate for the snow type. Boots are disinfected and dried after each use, and bindings are adjusted to your weight and riding style. Some companies offer optional insurance against accidental damage or theft, with a deductible or coverage limits; check this before renting. Misuse or loss is generally not covered. For added safety on the mountain, renting a helmet and protective gear is recommended. If you notice any problems on the slopes, return to the shop for adjustments or exchanges, subject to availability.
