This excursion kicks off at approximately 7 am at the Port of Buenos Aires. About ninety minutes later, the ferry to Colonia del Sacramento will set sail. The ferry departs at around 8:30 a.m., offering stunning views of Buenos Aires as it drifts away from the shore, and you'll have access to all the onboard amenities.
After roughly an hour's journey, we will arrive in Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay. From there, we'll proceed to the city's Historic Quarter for a guided walking tour with a local expert. This tour will take us on foot through charming cobblestone streets, where the guide will share the rich history of the city. We'll visit key attractions such as the Portón de Campo, the Street of Sighs, and the Lighthouse, among others.
Upon concluding the guided tour of the Historic District, we'll head to El Refugio restaurant for lunch. While drinks are not included, you'll enjoy a delightful meal.
Post-lunch, you'll have free time to explore the city at your leisure. Take in the vibrant, colorful houses, their unique facades, and the iconic lanterns. Wander through the cobblestone streets and let each corner captivate you.
The return ferry departs from Colonia's port to Buenos Aires at 6 pm. Please ensure you arrive at Colonia's port an hour and a half early.
Once aboard, we'll make our way back to Buenos Aires, arriving about an hour later, concluding this full-day excursion to Colonia del Sacramento.
