Gualeguaychú In The Day

We will greet guests at the designated meeting point near the Obelisk, where we will organize the group and get everyone comfortable in our vehicle. Our journey to Gualeguaychú will commence at 7:45 AM. During the trip, we will pause at a gas station for a restroom break, and passengers will have the opportunity to purchase items from the mini-market if they wish. The entire journey is expected to take around two and a half hours.

By approximately 10:30 AM, we will reach the Las Magnolias winery, situated at the South Access of Gualeguaychú. The friendly farm staff will warmly welcome us. Our visit will start at the entrance of the historic colonial house, now home to the restaurant and the winery's tasting room.

We will embark on a guided tour through the vineyards, where we will see the plants with their spring shoots post-pruning. Throughout the tour, we will discuss the various types of vines and soils, among other topics. Following this, we will explore the winery, where the wine is crafted and aged in a traditional manner. We will delve into the history of wine in Argentina and its extended prohibition.

Next, we will conduct a wine tasting and sampling beneath the estate's main oak tree or within our charming lounge. We will provide a snack featuring small empanadas, local cheese, and coarsely chopped salami. There will be ample time to capture photos and explore the surroundings before our departure.

At around 12:30 PM, we will proceed to the Crescencio restaurant, renowned as one of the finest on the Gualeguaychú waterfront. This establishment is celebrated for its rich history, outstanding service, and a diverse menu that caters to all tastes. Lunch will consist of a starter, main course, and dessert (see menu).

Following lunch, we will board the eleven-meter-long Gypsy Cruise for a memorable experience. We will enjoy a guided tour along the city's coast, sharing the stories of immigrants who arrived in Gualeguaychú via this port. The journey will take us past Libertad Island, the old cargo crane, the Mendez Casariego Bridge, and Unzué Park.

During the cruise, guests will be treated to local sweet treats and hot coffee. Additional snacks and beverages will be available for purchase on board. The boat is equipped with a bathroom and offers ample indoor space for rainy days. The ride will last between sixty and ninety minutes, allowing for a delightful sunset experience on board.

We will disembark at the port stairs, where our vehicle will be ready to transport us back to Buenos Aires. A stop will be made for a restroom break, and we anticipate arriving near the Obelisk at approximately 9:30 PM.
