Descripción del Tour:

In the early morning, we'll pick you up from your hotels in Puerto Iguazú and set off towards San Ignacio, approximately 230 km away. Amidst the dense foliage emerges the San Ignacio Reduction, the remnants of a civilization crafted by Jesuits and constructed by Guaraní hands that was renowned for its efficiency nearly 400 years ago, a reason for its eventual downfall. The temple's façade, entirely made of pink sandstone in 1610, features an American baroque design that was meticulously reconstructed by scientists in the last century after being buried under the jungle for almost two centuries.

Thousands of tourists flock here annually. Situated in the heart of San Ignacio town on route number 12, it lies 60 kilometers from Posadas. Today, the temple's right wall appears pristine, thanks to the efforts of specialists who worked on it during the summer. This preservation is possible due to a $50,000 donation from the World Monuments Foundation, ensuring that, step by step, all walls of this monument, susceptible to the region's tropical climate, are maintained despite being covered with small decomposing microorganisms.

After exploring the culture and heritage of the San Ignacio Ruins, we will proceed to the Wanda Mines, established by Polish settlers in 1936.

Named after a Polish princess who loved gems, Wanda is now a town located along the Paraná River. Here, visitors will find the entrance sign and various artisans selling stones. The mine offers a unique experience where visitors can walk, explore its caves, and even witness the precise moment operators perform explosions to continue drilling the basalt.

Before heading back, we will visit a local Yerbera. You can tour the facilities and sample local infusions. After the tour, you'll have a few free minutes to purchase souvenirs and regional sweets if you wish.

After uncovering the hidden treasures of the Missionary Jungle, you will be returned to your hotels in Puerto Iguazú at the end of the day.
