Day 1: Arrival in Purmamarca – Free Afternoon

Upon arriving in Purmamarca, guests will make their own way to their accommodations. After checking in at El Refugio de Coquena, the afternoon is yours to explore this quaint Andean village at your leisure. We suggest visiting the crafts fair in the main square, perfect for viewing and purchasing textiles, ceramics, and local products crafted by regional artisans. Another must-see is the renowned Paseo de los Colorados, a roughly three-kilometer circuit that skirts the Cerro de los Siete Colores, offering breathtaking views of the natural scenery. As the sun sets, the mountains are bathed in warm hues, creating a visual spectacle that serves as a perfect introduction to your journey.

Day 2: Excursion to Mirador El Hornocal (Cerro de los 14 Colores)

After breakfast, embark on a day of thorough exploration of the Humahuaca Gorge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tour traverses some of the region's most traditional villages, with strategic stops to appreciate both the scenery and the history.

The first stop is Uquía, renowned for its 17th-century church housing a priceless collection of arquebusier angel paintings from the Cuzco School. Next, proceed to Humahuaca, where you will have free time for lunch (not included) and to wander its cobblestone streets, visit the main church, and see the impressive monument to the Heroes of Independence. The highlight of the day is visiting the El Hornocal Lookout, situated over 4,300 meters above sea level. The route provides a scenic drive through high-altitude landscapes. From the viewpoint, you can admire the majestic Cerro de los 14 Colores, a mountain formation showcasing a unique color palette unlike any other. It is undoubtedly one of the most awe-inspiring landscapes in northern Argentina.

Day 3: Full-Day Excursion to the Iruya Valley

Following breakfast, we venture north on a picturesque journey to one of the region's most enchanting and secluded areas: Iruya. This full-day excursion crosses mountains and valleys seemingly frozen in time, reaching altitudes of over 4,000 meters before descending along cliffside paths to reach the town.

Iruya is embedded in the mountains, with adobe houses perched on steep slopes and cobblestone alleys inviting exploration. During the visit, you will see its quaint colonial church, explore the local market, and soak in the serene, almost magical atmosphere. On the journey there or back, you can also stop at the hamlets of Iturbe and the Abra del Cóndor viewpoint, offering unparalleled panoramic views of the valley.

This trip not only presents stunning landscapes but also allows a connection with the living culture of the indigenous communities and an understanding of their lifestyle in one of Jujuy's most remote locations.

Day 4: Salinas Grandes – End of the Tour

After checking out, embark on the final, yet equally impressive, excursion of the trip. This time, we head to the remarkable Salinas Grandes, one of the most photographed and admired landscapes in the Argentine Altiplano.

The journey includes ascending the spectacular Cuesta de Lipán, a winding road climbing to 4,170 meters above sea level, offering unforgettable views at each turn. Upon reaching the salt flats, you'll encounter an endless white expanse that seems to stretch on forever. Here, you will have free time to stroll on the salt flat, capture photographs, and learn about the traditional salt extraction process that continues today.

Before returning to Purmamarca, we will stop at Puesto Sey, a small rural community where you can gain insight into life in the Puna of Jujuy and taste regional products like goat cheese or artisanal sweets (optional).
