Frequently Asked Questions
This tour typically combines a city tour of Mendoza, visits to wineries and vineyards in Maipú or Luján de Cuyo with wine tasting, and a high-altitude excursion along Route 7 with viewpoints in Potrerillos, Uspallata, Puente del Inca, and views of Aconcagua, depending on availability. It includes air-conditioned tourist transportation, a bilingual guide, and hotel pick-up in the city center. The order of activities may vary depending on availability and weather. This is an ideal package for wine and nature tourism in the Andes Mountains in just a few days. Please inquire for the updated itinerary details and possible upgrades to premium wineries or a private tour.
The duration depends on the confirmed program. Generally, the tour package covers 3 to 4 days, combining half-day excursions (city tour, wineries) and a full-day tour to the High Mountains. Departures are usually between 7:30 and 9:00 AM, with returns between 5:30 and 7:30 PM for longer tours; shorter tours last around 4 to 5 hours. Schedules may be adjusted depending on the season, traffic, and mountain conditions. Pick-up is available from hotels in downtown Mendoza, and for those outside the city limits, a meeting point will be arranged. You can choose a shared tour or a private tour (with an additional charge).
To enjoy your excursion in Mendoza, wear comfortable shoes, layers of clothing, a light jacket (even in summer for the mountains), a windbreaker, sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen. Also pack a reusable water bottle, snacks, a camera, and cash or a card for lunches and purchases at wineries. Bring your ID or passport and travel insurance. The activities are suitable for most people; however, moderate altitudes are reached in the high mountains, so those with heart or respiratory conditions should consult with a professional. Inform us in advance about any accessibility needs or the availability of a baby seat. In winter, add gloves and a neck warmer; in summer, a hat and plenty of water.
The price generally includes transfers in a tourist vehicle, a bilingual guide, a city tour, guided visits to wineries and standard tastings, plus basic insurance. If the package includes a hotel, it usually covers accommodation with breakfast in tourist category or higher; please confirm the category when booking. Lunches, dinners, entrance fees to hot springs or other optional attractions, tips, extra drinks, and personal expenses are not included. Premium activities, high-end wineries, or private service may incur an additional charge. Please check if specific tickets/entrances are included and the pick-up radius. The agency will send a voucher with the contracted services and contact information for assistance during the trip.
You can book online with secure payment; a deposit or full payment is required depending on how far in advance you book. You will receive confirmation by email and an electronic voucher issued by the agency. The cancellation policy usually allows changes or cancellations free of charge up to 48–72 hours before departure; within that timeframe, penalties or no-shows may apply. In case of bad weather in the Andes Mountains, the High Mountain excursion may be rescheduled, the route modified, or a partial refund issued, according to the current policy. Peak seasons (wine harvest, winter holidays) sell out quickly: book in advance. Credit cards and bank transfers are accepted; traveler assistance is available during the tour.
