This more than two-week itinerary leads you through Argentina's most stunning and varied landscapes. Starting in the city of Buenos Aires, you'll be captivated by its eclectic architectural styles and rich culture, and have the opportunity to enjoy a delightful dinner accompanied by a Tango Show in a local theater. You'll explore the End of the World and paddle through the Beagle Channel. Witness the breathtaking Perito Moreno Glacier in the Argentine Patagonia, and experience the grandeur of the spectacular Iguazú Falls. Additionally, you'll breathe in the serene atmosphere of the Argentine Northwest with its vibrant colors.

Tour Description

Day 1

Arrival in Argentina

Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

Upon your arrival at Buenos Aires airport, you will be transferred to your centrally located hotel, with the remainder of the day at your leisure to enjoy as you choose.

Day 2

Walking City Tour and Dinner-Tango Show

Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

At noon, we will gather in the San Telmo neighborhood for a five-hour walking city tour of Buenos Aires. This immersive experience will allow you to explore the city's unique neighborhoods, historical landmarks, and popular sites, showcasing the transformation from its founding to the present day.

You'll use public transportation, including buses and the subway, to experience local life, offering a genuine connection with the city's unique blend of tango, soccer, and diverse cultures.

The tour concludes in the Recoleta neighborhood, where we'll have lunch before ending the excursion.

In the evening, enjoy a complete dinner and tango show at La Ventana tanguería, featuring captivating performances of tango, folklore, and the traditional Argentine boleadoras.

After the show, you'll be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 3

From Buenos Aires to Ushuaia

After breakfast at the hotel, we will pick you up for your transfer to the airport for your flight to Ushuaia, the southernmost city in Argentina.

Upon arrival, a vehicle will take you to your hotel, and you'll have the rest of the day and night free to explore Ushuaia at your own pace.

Day 4

Trekking and Canoes

The excursion starts at 9 a.m. from the hotel, heading to Tierra del Fuego National Park and Ensenada Zaratiegui. Enjoy stunning views of the Beagle Channel and the Redonda, Hoste, and Navarino islands.

We'll embark on a seven-kilometer coastal path walk to discover the diverse flora and birdlife of the Beagle Channel and Fuegian forest, along with remnants of ancient Yámana settlements.

After approximately 3 hours, we'll recharge with a typical full lunch in a tent.

Post-lunch, at around 2 p.m., we'll begin a canoe ride on the Lapataia River, reaching Lapataia Bay, the endpoint of the Pan-American Route and National Route No. 3.

We'll return to Ushuaia by minibus, arriving around 4:30 p.m., and you'll have the rest of the afternoon and evening free to enjoy as you wish.

Day 5

4x4 Adventure

Escondido and Fagnano Lakes

After breakfast at your hotel, you'll be picked up between 8 and 8:30 a.m. for a trip to the lakes. The minibus takes Route 3 through the Fuegian mountain range to the Garibaldi Pass, offering panoramic views of Escondido and Fagnano lakes.

We'll descend and depart from the route on old lumberjack tracks, with Land Rover trucks navigating through forest, mud, and stones to reach Lake Fagnano's stunning landscape.

Around 12:30 p.m., a delicious Creole barbecue awaits at the shelter.

After lunch, the adventure resumes with fording of Lake Fagnano to access an inner route leading to Lake Escondido, surrounded by an unmatched natural setting.

We start the return to Ushuaia around 2 p.m., taking part of the old National Route 3, and arriving at your hotel by approximately 3 p.m.

You'll have the rest of the afternoon and evening free to enjoy this beautiful city however you prefer.

Day 6

From Ushuaia to El Calafate

After breakfast at the hotel, we will pick you up for your transfer to Ushuaia airport for your flight to El Calafate.

Upon arrival, a vehicle will transport you from the airport to your hotel, where you'll have the rest of the day and night free to enjoy El Calafate as you wish.

Day 7

Minitrekking in Perito Moreno Glacier

After breakfast, we will pick you up for a trip to Los Glaciares National Park, where guides will provide insights into the area, the glacier, and the excursion.

At the port "Bajo de las Sombras," 70 km from El Calafate, we'll cross Lago Rico, reaching the opposite shore in about 20 minutes, facing the magnificent south face of the Perito Moreno Glacier. Upon disembarking, mountain guides will lead us to a shelter with a prime view of the glacier to start the trekking. We'll commence with a walk along the lake's coast, keeping an eye on the glacier for opportunities to see ice falls, followed by a glaciology talk from the guides.

Upon reaching the glacier's edge, the striking blue hues of the ice will frame the landscape. Groups of up to 20 people will be formed, and crampons and helmets will be provided. Once on the glacier, you'll receive a safety briefing and embark on a walk to explore this frozen wonder, designated a World Heritage Site.

The glacier circuit is of moderate difficulty, with an irregular but safe ice surface. During the walk, you'll encounter various glacier formations such as deep crevasses, blue sinkholes, massive seracs, and turquoise lagoons.

After the ice trek, you'll explore the periglacial zone and lateral moraine, offering a panoramic view of the Perito Moreno Glacier, the mountains, and the lake. We'll then return via a path through the lush Patagonian Andean forest, completing the THREE HOURS OF WALKING ALONG THE LAKE, MORAINE, ICE, AND FOREST (approximately one hour is on the glacier). Back at the shelter, a hot drink awaits, and shortly after, we'll board the boat to return to Puerto Bajo de las Sombras, pausing to admire the glacier's towering walls from the boat.

The Minitrekking takes place in a natural environment, so weather conditions and the glacier's characteristics may vary daily. However, the excursion proceeds as long as safety conditions permit.

Day 8

Free day in El Calafate

The eighth day of this extraordinary journey through Argentina is free for you to enjoy El Calafate as you wish.

Day 9

From El Calafate to Iguazú

In the morning, after breakfast at the hotel, we will pick you up for your transfer to El Calafate airport for your flight to Puerto Iguazú.

Upon arrival, a vehicle will take you from the airport to your hotel, and you'll have the rest of the day and night free to enjoy the city as you please.

Day 10

Waterfalls on the Argentine side

Puerto Iguazú

On this guided excursion, you'll explore the Argentine side of the Iguazú Falls in three sections:

Devil's Throat: Begin with a train ride that covers 4 km to reach Devil's Throat, offering access to the upper Iguazú River. From here, walk along pathways leading to a balcony with views of Devil's Throat.

Upper Circuit: A 500-meter (45-minute) ascent provides views of the Dos Hermanos, Bossetti waterfalls, Adan and Eva, Bernabe Mendez, Mbiguá, and San Martin from above.

Lower Circuit: With a professional guide, walk about 1300 meters over 1 hour and 30 minutes to view the lower part of the falls. Transfers to the Iguazú National Park Visitor Center are included, where visitors can take the train back to Devil's Throat.

Day 11

From Iguazú to Salta

In the morning, after breakfast at the hotel, we will pick you up for your transfer to Puerto Iguazú airport for your flight to Salta.

Upon arrival, a vehicle will transport you from the airport to your hotel, where we'll embark on a City Tour of Salta to discover the main attractions of this charming northern city.

Day 12

Salinas Grandes and Purmamarca

Salta and Jujuy

After breakfast, we'll pick you up to begin the day's excursion to the Tastil Ruins followed by a stop at San Antonio de los Cobres.

After a break for lunch, we'll continue along Route 40 to reach the Salinas Grandes, located on the border of Salta and Jujuy.

Next, we'll descend along Cuesta de Lipán, often spotting condors, until reaching the town of Purmamarca and its Hill of Seven Colors.

After exploring this picturesque town, we'll return to Salta via the highway.

Day 13

Quebrada de Humahuaca

Jujuy

The day's activity begins after breakfast, with a journey through the Quebrada de Humahuaca, a World Heritage Site known for its stunning landscape and vibrant local cultures.

We start at the Pueblito de Purmamarca to view the Cerro de los Siete Colores, the Church, and the Craft Market in the square.

We'll pass by Posta de Hornillos, heading towards Tilcara to visit the Pucará and the Archaeological Museum.

We'll continue towards Huacalera, crossing the Tropic of Capricorn, where you can see the colors of the hill called Pollera de la Colla. We'll visit the Church of Uquía, home to the paintings of the Arquebuceros Angels. Arriving in Humahuaca, we'll explore its significant Cathedral and the Independence Monument (El Indio) crafted by sculptor Soto Avendaño.

After lunch, we'll observe the Painter's Palette framing the town of Maimará and return to Salta via the scenic cornice road, rich in subtropical vegetation.

We'll pass through Abra de Santa Laura, viewing the La Ciénaga dam, Las Maderas, and Campo Alegre, returning to Salta via Vaqueros.

Day 14

Excursion to the Cafayate wine region

Salta

The tour commences in the Lerma Valley, traversing tobacco fields and colonial towns like Germany, once the terminus of the Belgrano railway.

We'll proceed into the Quebrada del Río Las Conchas, where wind and water have sculpted remarkable formations: the dunes, the toad, the bishop, the devil's throat, the castles, the amphitheater, among others.

Continuing on National Route 68, we'll arrive at Cafayate, the youngest city in the Calchaquí Valleys, renowned for its wine varietals, especially Torrontés. Wine tastings are available at its wineries, both artisanal and industrial.

Return to Salta along the same route, with the altered lighting providing a new perspective on the ravine's landscape.

Day 15

From Salta to Buenos Aires

In the morning, after breakfast at the hotel, we will pick you up for your transfer to Salta airport for your flight to Buenos Aires

Upon arrival, a vehicle will pick you up at the airport and take you to your centrally located hotel, with the rest of the day free for you to enjoy as you wish.

Day 16

Farewell to Argentina

After breakfast and checking out of the hotel, you'll be transferred to the airport for your return flight.
