Tour Description

Upon being picked up from your hotel in the heart of Rosario, our journey to San Nicolás, a charming town on the Paraná River, begins. Located just two hours from Buenos Aires and a mere thirty minutes from Rosario, this area has been shaped over the last five decades by the steel industry. Our guide will share insights into how the Nicoleño landscape evolved, transforming San Nicolás from a place known primarily for its industrial significance.
Since 1984, a series of apparitions of the Virgin Mary of the Rosary has sparked a religious movement that has become synonymous with the city. On September 25th each year, the Shrine of Our Lady welcomes hundreds of thousands of devoted pilgrims.
Our exploration commences with a tour of religious sites, featuring various chapels, parishes, churches, and sanctuaries that highlight the city's rich spiritual heritage.
Next, we visit the Casa del Acuerdo, an edifice constructed in 1831. Now serving as a museum with an adjoining library, this historic house is where provincial representatives convened by General Urquiza signed the pivotal 1852 treaty that paved the way for the Argentine Constitution.
We'll make a stop at the Rafael de Aguiar Municipal Theater, affectionately dubbed the "Little Colon." Opened in 1908, this venue is a must-see for enthusiasts of music and the performing arts.
The tour continues with a visit to an art gallery, offering exhibitions and a variety of artistic activities.
Our journey then leads us to the Cathedral of San Nicolás. Since 1983, this site has drawn countless pilgrims annually to the Sanctuary of Maria del Rosario. The Marian celebration occurs on September 25, but monthly processions with the Virgin's Image take place on the 25th of each month.
Around midday, we'll pause for a lunch break at one of the local restaurants in downtown San Nicolás (lunch not included).
Upon concluding the tour, we'll head back to the hotels in central Rosario.
