Tour Description
Before embarking on the tour, we will pick you up from centrally located hotels in Salta.
Our journey will lead us towards the Quebrada del Toro, where we will encounter Tastil Town, famous for its cave paintings and remarkable stone constructions. Here, we will explore the Ruins of Tastil, a pre-Inca archaeological site that has been designated as a National Historic Monument and is part of the World Heritage Inca Trail.
Following this, we will proceed to San Antonio de los Cobres, a unique tourist destination celebrated for its stunning landscapes and distinct cultural heritage. We will pause here for a lunch break (not included).
Next, we will traverse Route 40 to reach the Salinas Grandes, situated on the border of Salta and Jujuy. This location offers us free time to capture photographs and admire one of the world's largest salt flats, which attracts visitors globally each year.
We will then begin our descent via the Cuesta de Lipán, where we often have the chance to spot condors. Our journey continues with a visit to the charming town of Purmamarca and the enchanting Cerro de los Siete Colores, recognized as a Historic Cultural Monument for its breathtaking beauty.
We will conclude our tour by returning to Salta via the highway, arriving at the hotels around 20:00 hrs.
