Transfer By Bus From Ushuaia To Punta Arenas
TransferAbout this transfer
The bus departs from the Ushuaia terminal at 7:00 am on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. It passes through Rio Grande, where additional passengers will board, though disembarking is not allowed.
The trip proceeds towards Chile, with a stop at the border for immigration procedures in both Argentina and Chile. Be prepared for SENASA and SAG inspections, and remember that certain items, such as sausages and fruits, are prohibited from circulation.
Following the immigration process, the bus heads to the Strait of Magellan for a transfer to a barge for the crossing. This navigation lasts around 30 minutes.
Upon reaching the shore, the bus disembarks and continues directly to Punta Arenas, concluding the journey at Armando Sanhueza 745.
It's important to note that no official stops are scheduled. However, the trip includes an onboard breakfast service featuring a bottle of water, a ham and cheese sandwich, and a cereal bar.
Before boarding the barge, if the facility is open, you have the opportunity to make purchases. We recommend bringing cash in case you wish to buy something at the border stops.
Additionally, passengers must arrive at the meeting point (Ushuaia Fadul and Maipú Terminal) by 6:30 am.
