Our adventure begins as we gather at our office located at the Ushuaia tourist pier.
From this point, we embark on a bus journey along Route No. 3 and Route J, making our way to Martillo Island while enjoying the picturesque landscape of Tierra del Fuego's forest.
We will then reach our embarkation point and set sail for about 20 minutes on a semi-rigid boat towards the island. Upon arrival, we will disembark and spend an hour strolling with the Magellanic and Gentoo penguins, guided by a specialized guide who will share insights into the lives of these fascinating creatures and provide guidelines and safety tips for interacting with them.
Following our hour with the penguins, we will begin our return journey to Ushuaia.
But the adventure doesn't end there. In the afternoon, we will reconvene at our office to continue exploring Ushuaia. At the dock, we will check in and set sail on our vessel through the breathtaking Beagle Channel. Departing from the tourist dock, we will cruise along Ushuaia Bay and enter the Beagle Channel via Paso Chico. Our route takes us around Bird Island, where we can admire the diverse birdlife of Tierra del Fuego. Next, we'll approach Isla de los Lobos to observe sea lions with one and two hairs, with a professional guide providing commentary.
As we reach the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, we'll view colonies of imperial cormorants and rock cormorants while learning about the 1930 sinking of the SS Monte Cervantes. There will be time for everyone to capture photographs of the Lighthouse.
Our journey continues as we head to Karelo Island, part of the Bridges Islands, where we will observe Yámanas shell middens. We'll embark on a guided 20-minute walk of minimal difficulty, leading to a panoramic vantage point perfect for taking stunning photos.
As we conclude our trip, we'll enjoy views of the mountain range encircling Ushuaia and its surrounding natural beauty, returning to the tourist dock at night after a day rich in historical and scenic experiences.
