Our journey begins at the Ushuaia tourist pier, where you will check in at our office.
We will board a bus and travel along Route 3. After about 2 hours, we'll arrive at Harberton Ranch to board a covered semi-rigid boat. A 15-minute sail will take us to Martillo Island. Here, you'll disembark with a specialized guide to spend an hour on the island.
As we walk along designated paths to protect the penguins’ natural environment, you'll witness over 1,000 nests of the Magellanic penguins and approximately 9 nests of the Gentoo penguins, unique in South America. The island offers ideal conditions for penguins, with minimal predators, plentiful food, and suitable soil and vegetation for nesting and breeding.
You will be guided by an expert who will share insights into the lives of these remarkable seabirds and ensure adherence to the island's conduct guidelines.
At this location, we'll use a semi-rigid zodiac boat to reach the island. After a 15-minute journey, you'll enjoy a 1-hour exploration of the Gentoo and Magellanic penguin colonies with our guide.
We will then head back to Ushuaia by bus.
