Descripción del Tour:

Our walking tour kicks off at our offices situated in the heart of the San Telmo neighborhood. Known as one of the oldest areas in Buenos Aires, San Telmo is famed for its lively tango and arts scene. We will stroll down Defensa Street heading south to explore the antique markets and admire the unique architecture, including the iconic "faroles" street lamps, cobblestone roads, historical buildings, and vintage decor.

Next, we will arrive at Lezama Park, notable for its tree-lined paths, amphitheater, and the slope that leads down to Martín García and Paseo Colón avenues.

Upon exiting the park, we will walk two blocks to reach the southern tip of Puerto Madero, where we will cross the dock and walk along the city's opposite shore. Puerto Madero is the city's most modern neighborhood, filled with skyscrapers, exclusive dining spots, and luxury hotels. Our journey will take us to the Puente de la Mujer (Women's Bridge), a rotating bridge designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, symbolizing a couple dancing tango.

We will cross this bridge to continue our walk along the opposite shore, leading us to Belgrano Avenue. From there, we'll turn onto Paseo Colón Avenue, and after three blocks, we'll arrive at the historic Plaza de Mayo. Here, we can visit the Metropolitan Cathedral and observe the Cabildo (colonial town hall) and the Casa Rosada (Pink House), the executive branch's headquarters. Our guide will share insights into the many historical and social events that have occurred here.

On the opposite side of the square, we will take Diagonal Norte, a key city artery that links the Judicial Power (Supreme Court) with the Executive Power (Casa Rosada). Our path will lead us to the renowned Obelisco de Buenos Aires, a city icon situated in the center of Avenida 9 de Julio, the widest avenue globally.

We will cross this grand avenue and continue our journey until, after two blocks, we reach the Colon Theater. This opera house is celebrated as one of the world's top five for its size, acoustics, and rich history.

For those who opted to visit the Colon Theater, we will conclude our tour with a guided exploration of this magnificent venue. We will meet our guide and a small group of visitors to explore the Auditorium, the Main Foyer, the Busts Gallery, and the Golden Hall, marveling at the architectural details, sculptures, staircases, ceilings, and stained glass. The tour will wrap up at the theater's entrance after a 50-minute visit.

Alternatively, if you chose to visit the MALBA, located across from the theater, we will board a bus to the Palermo neighborhood, where the MALBA (Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires) resides. Founded in September 2001, this museum aims to collect, preserve, study, and promote Latin American art from the early 20th century to the present. It showcases a collection of approximately 400 works by the region's leading modern and contemporary artists. The tour concludes with entry to the museum, allowing you to explore at your leisure, taking in each room and exhibition at your own pace.

You also have the option to select a tour that includes visits to both sites. In this case, you will enter the Colon Theater first, and after the guided tour, proceed with your guide to the MALBA. After providing you with the museum ticket, the tour concludes at that location.
