Tour Description

Our adventure begins at a designated farm serving as our meeting point. From here, we embark on an exhilarating hike lasting approximately 9 hours.

The initial path is spacious and of medium-low difficulty, making it accessible for most trekking lovers. As we proceed, we move towards the junction of the Encanto Blanco and Azul rivers, familiarly known as "La Confluencia", an entryway revealing nature's grandeur in all its glory.

Along the way, we will pass by the Viewpoint Loma de los Piches, a prime location where our expert guide will help us take in the spectacular views of the Valle del Azul. As we continue, we will reach the first shelter, known as "La Playita", nestled on the banks of Río Azul. This spot offers us a well-deserved break.

Our journey then leads us to La Tronconada Refuge, set in a picturesque coihue forest at the base of Cerro Dedo Gordo. After another 20 minutes, we will arrive at Refugio del Cajón del Azul. Here, we encounter the highlight of our adventure: the Río Azul canyon. From a log bridge, at a depth of 35 meters, we witness the river's flow between rock walls that, in some places, are less than a meter apart.

Walking alongside a specialized mountain guide ensures peace of mind as we embrace this experience.

After about 9 hours, we will return to our initial trekking point.
