Tour Description

The excursion starts at 7:30 AM with the collection of guests from their hotels in downtown Calafate. We will journey approximately 45 km along a road that takes us through the countryside, where you can admire charming wooden houses along the route.

Upon arrival at Puerto de Punta Bandera on Lago Argentino, we will board a modern and comfortable boat. At around 08:15 AM, we will depart the port to commence our navigation.

As we cross impressive icebergs, we navigate through the northern arm of Lake Argentino to reach the permitted navigation limit in the Upsala Channel, providing a panoramic view of the Upsala Glacier's front. We will then continue sailing down the Upsala Channel to the disembarkation point at Estancia Cristina, arriving at approximately 11.30 AM.

We will spend around six hours at Estancia Cristina, where we'll visit the Costumbrista Museum, housed in a former shearing shed, to learn about the Estancia's history. Following this, we'll take a brief, enjoyable 30-minute walk to visit the Caterina River and the Chapel, and then explore the Estancia's historic center.

After exploring the key sites of the Estancia, you will have free time for lunch and further exploration of the area.

At approximately 5:30 PM, we will return to the boat to begin our journey back to Puerto Punta Bandera. After disembarking at around 7:30 PM, guests will be transported back to their hotels, concluding the tour.
