Descripción del Tour:

Depart from El Calafate and embark on gravel road No. 15, famously known as "Camino de las Estancias." As you travel, it's common to encounter condors, foxes, and hares, with the majestic Cerro Frías taking center stage. Upon crossing the Río Rico, the scenery transitions dramatically from steppe to mountainous landscapes.
Upon reaching the ranch, after navigating the shores of Lake Roca and entering the Los Glaciares National Park, the host guide greets you warmly. You will be led to the Quincho where you can enjoy a hot beverage—be it tea, coffee, or mate—paired with homemade pastries. This pause is perfect for soaking in the breathtaking views of the Cordillera de los Andes.
Next, embark on a tour through the facilities of a classic Patagonian ranch, once dedicated to sheep farming. Today, it stands as the most esteemed Hereford cattle establishment in the region, while still maintaining a flock of sheep.
In the stables, those opting for the horseback ride will mount their horses and set off to explore the surroundings with a local guide.
Meanwhile, the rest of the group will embark on a hike, offering stunning vistas of the South Arm of Lake Argentino. Discover rocky outcrops shaped by glacial activity and fluctuating lake levels. As we trek along the trails, we'll uncover forests of lengas and ñires, home to caranchos, cachañas, hares, woodpeckers, eagles, and a rich variety of native flora and fauna. The route may vary according to weather conditions. (Hike or horseback ride 45 m/1 h. Level: easy)
At the conclusion, the group gathers at the entrance of the shearing shed, now serving as the ranch's historical museum. Here, there's a chance to explore the shed, understanding its components and the work conducted there. During daily activities, visitors can also partake in morning milking and sheep herding, completing a typical day at the Estancia. Some activities may be altered due to weather conditions.
Returning to the barbecue area where a lamb on the spit is being roasted, the history of this place is shared, along with anecdotes and tales of the early settlers. Passing through the orchard, which supplies most of the ranch's vegetables, we arrive at the Quincho where the Asador has the barbecue prepared.
