Our journey begins with hotel pickups starting at 4:15 PM, as we make our way to the Estancia Galpon del Glacier. This Country Day offers the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the beauty of Patagonia while connecting with nature. We kick off the experience with a warm welcome featuring mate , chocolate, tea, and an array of traditional homemade treats in our historic warehouse, originally constructed in 1912.
Next, we guide you through the Estancia to explore its history, the site itself, and the quintessential activities of Patagonia: a guided walk to Lago Argentino through the "Nature Reserve ¨Laguna de los Pájaros" and Lago Argentino, where you'll find a trail designed for interpreting Patagonian flora and fauna and spotting over 40 species of migratory birds. Sheep herding with Kelpies dogs and horses, shearing demonstrations in the Galpon to delve into the wool production process in this region, along with other classic rural activities, are all part of our offering. .
Guided Tour and shearing demonstration in the vintage shed dating back to 1912: our guides will share insights into the wool industry, including exploitation, production, packaging, and transportation.
