Planned Itinerary:
Day 1 - Arrival in Buenos Aires:
Upon your arrival, a driver will greet you at the disembarkation area with a sign bearing your name, ready to transfer you safely and efficiently to your hotel in downtown Buenos Aires. After check-in, you have the rest of the day at your leisure.
Day 2 - Walking Tour and Tango Show:
Your day starts with a walking tour of the city. At 10 a.m., we depart from our offices to explore the most charming and intriguing parts of Buenos Aires. This tour involves walking and using public transportation to thoroughly visit Centro, San Telmo, La Boca, and Recoleta, concluding around 4:30 p.m. This is the perfect opportunity for photography and discovering areas beyond the typical tourist trail.
In the evening, between 8 and 8:30 p.m., we will pick you up from your hotel for a delightful dinner accompanied by an unforgettable Tango Show at El Querandí, a renowned tango venue in San Telmo. Enjoy a gourmet three-course dinner with a variety of traditional dishes and regional wines, followed by an incredible performance showcasing the history of Tango through dance and song. Return to your hotel around midnight.
Day 3 - Sailing the Tigre:
The adventure begins at the boat terminal in the upscale Puerto Madero district, where you’ll meet your guide at 09:45 a.m. From there, embark on a boat journey through the Río de la Plata and the Delta to capture the city's best views. Upon reaching Tigre, a bus tour will take you to the main attractions.
We then proceed with a walking tour of the famous Puerto de Frutos market. Finally, we return to Buenos Aires by train to Retiro station, marking the tour's end.
Day 4 - Free Day:
Today is at your leisure to choose any activity you wish or simply relax at your hotel.
Day 5 - Arrival in Lima:
Based on your flight schedule, a driver will take you from your hotel to Ezeiza airport for your flight. Upon arriving in Lima, a driver will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free, with an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6 - City Tour and Visit to the Larco Museum
After picking you up from the hotel, we start the Lima city tour at the magnificent Larco Museum in the traditional Pueblo Libre district.
The Larco Museum is awe-inspiring, featuring a comprehensive collection of over 5000 pre-Hispanic ceramic pieces, along with gold and silver artifacts and pre-Columbian erotic art. We’ll explore its beautiful halls chronologically, learning about ancient Peruvian civilizations.
We then head to the historic center of Lima, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1988, rich with stunning squares, colonial mansions, and history. We visit the Casa de Aliaga, a colonial mansion built in 1536, filled with valuable art and history, still inhabited by descendants of Jerónimo de Aliaga y Ramírez, a Spanish conquistador and ally of Francisco Pizarro.
Next, we proceed to the Plaza de Armas, the foundation site of Lima in 1535 and where Peru's independence was proclaimed in 1821. It was also a market and execution site during the viceroyalty.
Enjoy a panoramic view of historical buildings like the Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Municipal Palace, and other significant colonial structures. We visit the Lima Cathedral, a Cultural Heritage of Humanity site, constructed during the 16th-century Spanish conquest.
After the tour, you will be taken back to your hotel.
Day 7 - Arrival in Cusco:
Our driver will escort you from your hotel to Lima airport. Upon arrival in Cusco, your transportation will be ready to take you to your hotel. Check-in and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.
Day 8 - City and Surrounding Ruins Tour:
We will pick you up from the hotel to start the tour at the Temple of Coricancha, also known as the Golden Temple due to its immense gold treasures. This significant site exemplifies the fusion of Inca and Spanish cultures, as the Spanish built the church and Convent of Santo Domingo on the Inca temple's base.
Next, we visit the Cathedral of Cusco in the Plaza de Armas, showcasing exquisite religious art, much of it from the Cusqueña School. It is recognized as both a Cultural Heritage of Humanity and a Historical Monument of Peru.
We proceed to the archaeological complex of Sacsayhuamán, a magnificent structure of perfectly fitting massive stones, said to have been built by over 20,000 men over 70 years. Just 2 km from Cusco, this Inca fortress offers stunning landscapes and is home to llamas and hawks.
Our tour continues to the religious center of Qenqo, where the Inca worshipped deities such as the sun, moon, and earth. Key attractions include underground galleries and a semicircular amphitheater.
Next, we explore the military complex of Puca Pucará, meaning "Red Fortress" in Spanish, due to its reddish hue. We also visit the water worship center of Tambomachay, featuring aqueducts and waterfalls sourced from nearby springs, showcasing the Incas' advanced construction engineering.
After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cusco. Enjoy a free afternoon and an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 9 - Machu Picchu by Vistadome Train:
Transfer to the train station for your Vistadome train journey to Aguas Calientes. The route offers views of the suspension bridge marking the start of the Inca Trail.
The journey follows the Urubamba or Vilcanota river, descending into a canyon until reaching Aguas Calientes at the base of Machu Picchu. We take minibuses to ascend the Sacred Citadel of the Incas “Machu Picchu”.
Explore its terraces, passageways, temples, the sundial or “Intihuatana”, and other sacred sites. In the afternoon, return to Aguas Calientes for the train back, and transfer to your hotel.
Day 10 - Pisac Market, Ollantaytambo Fortress and Chinchero:
Depart from your Cusco hotel at 07:30 a.m. for a 30 km drive to Pisac. Discover its fantastic market and archaeological center with temples and stone buildings, offering stunning valley and terraced views.
Continue to Urubamba for a delicious buffet lunch, then proceed to Ollantaytambo. Explore its temple, once the Inca army's headquarters and a religious and agricultural center, with impressive valley views and advanced irrigation systems.
Conclude with a visit to Chinchero and its vibrant market, showcasing ceramics and traditional Andean textiles. Return to your Cusco hotel by 6:30 p.m.
Day 11 - Farewell to Cusco:
Depending on your choice, you will be transferred to either the bus station or the airport for your onward journey or return home.
