The Larco Museum is truly impressive, housing a vast collection of over 5000 pre-Hispanic ceramic pieces, alongside gold and silver artifacts, and pre-Columbian erotic art. As we move chronologically through the beautiful halls, we’ll delve into the fascinating civilizations of ancient Peru.

We’ll collect you from your hotel and begin the tour with a visit to the Temple of Coricancha, also known as the Golden Temple due to its lavish gold adornments. This iconic site exemplifies the fusion of Inca and Spanish cultures, as the Spanish used the Inca temple's foundations to build the church and Convent of Santo Domingo.

Next, we’ll explore the Cathedral of Cusco at the Plaza de Armas, home to exquisite religious art, much of it from the Cusqueña School. It is recognized as a Cultural Heritage of Humanity and a Historical Monument of Peru.

Our tour continues to the archaeological site of Sacsayhuaman, featuring enormous carved stones impeccably joined together, allegedly constructed by over 20,000 men over approximately 70 years. Just 2 kilometers from central Cusco, this Inca fortress offers stunning landscapes and is home to llamas and falcons.

Then, we’ll visit the sacred site of Qenqo, where the ancient Incas worshipped gods like the sun, moon, and earth. Notable features include underground galleries and a semicircular amphitheater.

We’ll continue to the military complex of Puca Pucará, meaning "Red Fortress" due to its reddish hue. Our final stop is the water worship center of Tambomachay, showcasing aqueducts and waterfalls from nearby springs. The Incas' advanced construction techniques are truly impressive.

After this visit, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel in Cusco. The rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy, with an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 13 - Machu Picchu by Vistadome Train:
We’ll organize your transfer to the train station. The Vistadome train departs for Aguas Calientes. Along the route, we’ll see the suspension bridge marking the start of the Inca Trail.
