Our adventure begins bright and early as we pick up guests from their centrally located hotels in comfortable vehicles.
Our first destination is Rawson Port, where we set sail to observe the Patagonian Dolphin, also known as the Pío Dolphin or Tonina. This delightful and unique dolphin is an endemic species, with males measuring under 1.45 meters and females reaching up to 1.52 meters. If we're fortunate, we will witness their lively behavior, performing acrobatics in their natural surroundings. These dolphins are extremely energetic, enjoying swift surface swimming, jumping, and wave surfing. This sighting is a rare opportunity, as it's the only place worldwide where they can be observed.
Following this, we travel to the city of Trelew to explore the Egidio Feruglio Paleontological Museum. Established in 1990, this museum is the most significant of its kind in South America, renowned for its remarkable collection of unique species. It boasts nearly 40,000 fossils, featuring both replicas and originals of dinosaurs like the Patagotitan mayorum, the largest dinosaur ever discovered. Visitors can admire dinosaur fossils and other ancient creatures while gaining insight into the region's entire geological history.
Finally, in the afternoon, we head back to the central hotels, carrying with us unforgettable memories of this extraordinary excursion that blends nature, history, and culture.
