DAY 1
Departure from hotels in Salta at 7 am
Begin your adventure with a scenic drive through the Lerma Valley to the village of Carril. The journey continues through Chicoana, leading us into the Quebrada de los Laureles and subsequently into Quebrada de Escoipe, until we reach Maray, a quaint mountain village. From there, we ascend the Cuesta del Obispo, navigating its winding curves that offer breathtaking views of the Enchanted Valley and charming homes surrounded by corn and fruit fields. Upon reaching Cachi, enjoy panoramic vistas of the Nevado de Cachi and Payogasta Hills. Explore the town of Cachi by visiting the Museum of Archaeology and the Church.
Proceed along Route 40 to take in the stunning mountainous landscapes and enchanting villages along the Calchaquí River. Journey through Quebrada de las Flechas, San Carlos, and Animaná, ultimately arriving in Cafayate for an overnight stay (accommodation not included).
DAY 2
Today, explore Cafayate, the youngest city in the Calchaquíes Valleys, famed worldwide for its wine production, especially the Torrontés variety. Enjoy tastings at both artisanal and industrial wineries. After lunch (not included), we make our way back to the city of Salta, traveling through the Quebrada de las Conchas and continuing along the Lerma Valley route.
Return to Salta around 6 pm
