Departure from Salta hotels, around 07 am.
We will follow a route parallel to the tracks of the Train of the Clouds, traversing the Quebrada del Toro. Here, the scenery transitions from lush vegetation to the emergence of distinctive cactus plants. We will observe the remarkable sections of the Train of the Clouds, such as the Viaduct of the Bull and the zig-zag tracks of Alisal and Chorrillo. Additionally, we will encounter sites like El Candado, El Golgotta, and Alfarcito, among others.
Our journey includes a visit to the pre-Inca city of Santa Rosa de Tastil, where you can clearly discern the ancient remains of dwellings, burials, and streets. We will proceed to Finca La Encrucijada, beginning our ascent up Cuesta del Muñano to reach Abra Blanca at an altitude of 4080 meters above sea level. We will arrive at San Antonio de los Cobres, the main town in the Andes department, and visit the renowned Viaduct of the Polvorilla, which stands at 63 meters high.
