The adventure kicks off in the early morning, with a convenient pickup from your centrally located hotel in Salta, scheduled between 6:30 and 7:15 am. Departing the city via National Route 9, we transition to National Route 34, guiding us to the municipality of General Güemes. Our journey continues into the province of Jujuy, where we'll traverse a section of the Humahuaca Ravine, passing through the picturesque towns of Yala, Volcán, and Purmamarca. In this delightful village, you'll be captivated by the majestic Cerro de los Siete Colores. Our next highlight is the breathtaking Cuesta de Lipán, where we'll reach an altitude of 4170 meters above sea level. Our final destination is the stunning Salinas Grandes, a vast expanse of gleaming white salt. Here, you'll have the chance to stroll across the surface and observe the extensive wells formed by salt extraction. You'll also get to admire the exquisite sculptures crafted by local artisans using this very material. After enjoying a delightful meal in Purmamarca, we embark on our return journey to Salta, carrying with you unforgettable memories of this unique Salinas Grandes adventure. We anticipate reaching Salta between 7:00 and 7:30 PM.
