Tour Description
We will start the activity by picking you up in the morning at your central accommodation in Tilcara.
The trekking begins in the Huasamayo river ravine, a place surrounded by hills and crops, and crossed by an old path that the inhabitants of the region still follow.
This family walk of about five kilometers will take you to a waterfall, more than 15 meters high, that has been carved by water over thousands of years, creating a deep cleft in the rock.
In addition to the impressive waterfall, you will have the opportunity to observe human engineering in action, since in this place is the water intake that supplies the population of Tilcara.
The adventure includes a delicious regional lunch, where you can savor the authentic flavors of the area while enjoying the panoramic view of the waterfall and its surroundings.
The trek lasts half a day, approximately 6 hours, and offers flexible hours to meet your needs.
The hike returns to the starting point, giving you impressive views of the entire Quebrada de Humahuaca and its surroundings. The total number of kilometers traveled is 14 km, all on asphalt, with medium difficulty.
