The adventure begins from Ushuaia at 08:30 am, heading northeast towards the majestic Cordillera Fueguina. After approximately one hour of travel, we reach the stunning Garibaldi Pass, where our trekking journey commences, aiming for the summit of this impressive mountain range. As we proceed, we'll traverse paths that lead us deeper into a lush, dense forest.
Upon reaching an elevation of 600 meters, we emerge from the forest as the trail fades away, continuing our trek along the mountainside. This path offers breathtaking views of Lake Escondido and Fagnano. By approximately 10:15 am, we arrive at a scenic viewpoint. Our journey continues as we make our way to the "Gemelas," "Raquel," and "Los Perros" lagoons, reaching them around 1 pm, where we will pause to enjoy a lunch break and rejuvenate.
The trek concludes at 4 pm, after descending the mountain's northern slope and navigating a dense forest. Here, massive beaver dams interrupt the landscape, and with a bit of luck, we might catch a glimpse of these industrious rodents before rejoining our vehicle.
By 5:30 pm, we make our return to the city of Ushuaia.
