Descripción del Tour
This canoeing and trekkingexcursion (also called Yamaning)on Gable Island is crafted for travelers eager to venture beyond the typical tourist paths and immerse themselves in an authentic Fuegian nature experience, within one of Tierra del Fuego's most untouched locales.
The adventure kicks off early in the morning, departing from Ushuaia at around 08:30 a.m., en route to the shores of the Beagle Channel. Upon arrival at approximately 10:30 a.m., participants receive a technical and safety briefing, where expert guides provide instruction on equipment use and basic paddling skills for inflatable canoes.
Once on the water, we commence paddling along the Beagle Channel, journeying past untouched coastlines and stunning vistas, reminiscent of the historical travels of the Yámana people, the region's original inhabitants, who navigated these waters in canoes for millennia. This experience offers direct interaction with the environment, tranquility, local wildlife, and unparalleled views of the End of the World. Around 12:30 p.m., paddling concludes with a landing on Gable Island, a secluded island with restricted access. Here, we will savor a hot lunch in an exclusive and cozy retreat, complete with panoramic views that encourage relaxation and a deep connection with the natural surroundings.
Post-lunch, at approximately 1:30 p.m., a guided trek around Gable Island commences, exploring its forests, coastlines, and natural viewpoints. This moderately intense hike allows for an in-depth exploration of the island and offers the unique sensation of complete isolation, surrounded solely by untouched nature. After wrapping up the trek around 4:00 p.m., we will paddle back to the mainland coast, where our transport will be ready to return us to Ushuaia. Arrival in the city is anticipated at around 6:30 p.m., marking the end of a day filled with adventure, nature, and exploration at the true End of the World.
