Descripción del Tour:

The adventure commences with a pickup truck from the city of Ushuaia. Traveling along National Route 3, we journey through the picturesque Tierra Mayor Valley until we arrive at the Garibaldi Pass. Throughout this 50-minute excursion, our guide provides insights into the history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes that encompass us. This is an ideal moment to savor some mates and unwind while appreciating the surroundings.
Upon reaching the Garibaldi Pass, we pause to prepare for the trek. The hike, rated as easy, spans 4 kilometers and takes a total of 3 hours for a round trip. Although the path includes some uphill climbs and rocky, muddy sections, the effort is rewarded with spectacular views of the mountain range. We ascend to the edge of the vegetation, where we encounter the exquisite twin lagoons, and proceed to explore rock terraces offering breathtaking views of Lakes Escondido and Fagnano.
At the summit, we indulge in a hot beverage and an alfajor, rejuvenating ourselves before the descent. We then return to the van to proceed to Lake Escondido, just a short 15-minute drive away. Here, a delightful mountain stew awaits us as we prepare the packraft boats, which are single or double, stable, and easy to maneuver. The lake crossing takes roughly one hour, with the goal of immersing ourselves in the water and surrounding environment.
Should the weather conditions be unfavorable for paddling, we have an alternative plan. Instead, we embark on a trek to the Velo de Novia waterfall, situated in the Olivia River region. This one-hour hike, though brief, includes sections with steep inclines and allows us to marvel at two waterfalls nestled among the rocks. We can even stand behind one of them to experience the power of the water firsthand.
After approximately 7 hours of thrilling adventure, we will return to the hotels in Ushuaia.
