The day kicks off with a pick-up from the hotels in Ushuaia, setting out for the stunning Tierra Mayor Valley.
In just 30 minutes, we arrive at Husky Park, where a Musher, or sled dog instructor, will greet us and provide an introductory talk about the fascinating world of sled dogs, including their special care and the conditions they thrive in within this environment.
Next, we dive into sled driving instruction, focusing on learning the techniques for assembly and handling.
We’ll assist in putting the harnesses on the dogs, and once the sled is ready, the adventure kicks off.
The dog sled ride offers an exhilarating experience filled with excitement and adrenaline. The sled caravan progresses through the snowy valley, showcasing the breathtaking native scenery.
The initial stage of the journey concludes at the logger shelter, where we can relax and refuel with a hot beverage and a snack.
After recharging, we resume our journey, traversing through forests, frozen rivers, and the abundant snow that blankets the valley.
Following a 6-kilometer trek, we head back to our hotels in Ushuaia.
