The tour kicks off from the hotel at 8:00 am, with a brief journey to Tierra Mayor Valley, arriving by 8:30 am to embark on a vigorous hike.
The initial segment of the trek features a steep trail, where the ancient lengas of the sub-Antarctic forest accompany hikers. After a challenging 45 to 60 minutes (around 9:30 am), the forest is left behind, and from the summit, breathtaking views begin to unfold.
By approximately 10:15 am, we reach the Turquoise Lagoon, which delights with its stunning hue, characteristic of glacial-origin lagoons. We then proceed to ascend a rocky ridge, arriving at the summit of Mount Carbajal near noon. Here, you can witness the paths carved by glaciers that once flowed towards the Beagle Channel through the Tierra Mayor and Carbajal valleys, shaping this magnificent landscape. We will enjoy our lunch while taking in the view, and at 1 pm, we will begin our descent back to our vehicle at the base.
You will be returned to your hotels at approximately 3:30 pm.
