Tour Description

During this half-day adventure that combines trekking and paddling, we'll collect you from your hotel and travel to the starting location. The journey begins with a 40-minute, low-intensity trek through the lush forests and peat bogs unique to Tierra del Fuego. Our destination is Laguna Mariposa, where we will inflate the rafts that each participant has carried in their backpack. The Packraft, a portable inflatable boat, is crafted for navigating various water bodies, from technical whitewater to ocean bays and fjords, and is designed to be lightweight for ease of transport over long distances. As we prepare, a briefing on safety and paddling techniques will be provided.
At the lagoon, we'll hone our skills before venturing into the river. We'll paddle downstream for an hour, soaking in the breathtaking views of the Andes Mountains' majestic peaks and valleys. On the river, it's common to spot ducks, birds, and occasionally beavers.
Our first pause will be at a river beach, where the Laguna Esmeralda stream converges with the Olivia River. Here, we'll take a moment to enjoy a snack and unwind, surrounded by the awe-inspiring natural beauty.
The journey continues through sections bordered by native forest and bushes along the riverbanks, allowing for a deep connection with nature and the untouched landscape. We conclude by returning to the starting point, from where you'll be transported back to your hotel, wrapping up a day rich in adventure and natural splendor.
