Tour Description
Join us at Ushuaia's tourist pier, where the journey begins with a check-in at our dedicated office.
At 2:00 PM sharp, we set sail on a catamaran, cruising the Beagle Channel's northeast waters for a scenic two and a half hours.
As we navigate, you’ll witness the channel’s stunning islands, starting with Bird Island, where diverse avian species like albatrosses, cormorants, skuas, geese, and seagulls thrive. We will also glide past Sea Lion Island, inhabited by one-haired sea lions and both imperial and royal cormorants. The journey leads us to the iconic Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, the most southerly beacon in Argentina.
Here, with a specialized guide, we’ll disembark for approximately 40 minutes to explore the island. You will encounter the charming Magellanic penguins, with about 40 to 45 breeding pairs residing here year-round. This island provides an ideal sanctuary for the penguins, offering minimal predators, plentiful food, and natural shelter for nesting and rearing.
Our fleet guarantees your comfort and safety with the most modern catamarans, outfitted with the latest navigation technology and eco-friendly engines that enhance travel efficiency while minimizing environmental impact.
Throughout our expedition, a guide will accompany us, sharing insights and ensuring adherence to the island's conservation guidelines.
Our return journey to Ushuaia commences around 9:00 PM, retracing our path through the channel.
