Tour Description

Our journey will begin at 7:00 AM, departing from Villa Unión. We will pass through Villa Castelli and Vinchina, where we'll explore the Diaguitas stars before venturing into the Quebrada de la Trolla. Here, we'll embark on a trail to the Riverside, weaving through striking folds and fractures of the earth's crust. Amidst the strata, we will discover remnants of prehistoric creatures that once roamed the region in search of water, their footprints fossilized on the rocks, preserved for research and conservation purposes.
Our next stop will be the town of Jague, a historic village remarkably preserved with its adobe structures. From there, we'll ascend the Cordillera via the Quebrada del Peñón, a place of breathtaking colors that will captivate us not only visually but also through its wildlife inhabitants. We may spot vicuñas and guanacos grazing. This location offers a perfect opportunity for photographs with the Cerro Pilar, known for its stunning hues.
Continuing our ascent, we'll reach the Portezuelo de la Laguna, the gateway to Laguna Brava. We'll approach from the east, arriving at Flamencos Bay, where, between October and March, the sight of pink flamingos feeding on lagoon plankton is a spectacle to behold.
Weather permitting, we'll extend our adventure, circling the lagoon to reach the Refuge at the western edge, where the Geysers of the Brava Lagoon await to astonish us.
Our return journey through the Quebrada del Peñón will be equally vibrant, with a picnic lunch at the Refuge. Afterward, we'll head back to Jague, traverse the Quebrada de la Troya once more towards Vinchina, and conclude our tour in Villa Unión around 6:00 PM.
