The excursion starts with the collection of guests from their hotels in downtown El Calafate, heading to the excursion's starting point. The initial stop is at Puerto Punta Bandera, where we will board a state-of-the-art vessel to transport us to the Estancia area to commence the tour.

Upon disembarking, 4x4 vehicles specially designed for this type of terrain will be ready to take us on a 9.5 km journey through Cordón Feruglio, along a mountain road that was once glacier-covered. Throughout the trip, we will enjoy viewing landscapes of significant geological interest until we arrive at the Continental Ice Shelter.

From this point, we will embark on a walk of roughly 20 minutes to reach the Upsala Viewpoint, situated at 550 meters above sea level, from where we can admire Lake Guillermo and the impressive eastern front of the Upsala Glacier, the Southern Patagonian Ice Field, and the Murallón and Don Bosco Hills.

After taking in the views from the Lookout, we will begin another hike descending to the Cañadón de los Fósiles, an area rich in fossils, remnants of the last marine incursion, revealed by glacial activity.

Finally, we will traverse a final stretch to reach the Estancia Cristina Valley, from where we will begin our return journey to the boat that will take us back to Puerto Punta Bandera, and subsequently, to the guests' hotels, concluding the tour.
