Trevelin And Galesa Route
Descripción del Tour
The adventure kicks off with a convenient pick-up from your centrally located Esquel hotel. We journey southwest from the city, navigating along National Route No. 259, now celebrated as the Welsh Route, which connects Trevelin to Chile.
Our first destination is the Nant y Fall Protected Natural Area, situated just 20 kilometers from Trevelin. Here, you’ll marvel at four breathtaking waterfalls and enjoy panoramic viewpoints along a 1600-meter interpretive trail. Each waterfall is nestled within the Owen family’s estate, who generously donated 250 hectares surrounding the falls, establishing Chubut’s inaugural protected natural area.
Next, we visit the Nant Fach Mill Museum and the Nant y Fall Vineyard, where you'll delve into their fascinating history. This visit transports you to a bygone era, where the Welsh settlers' legacy in the valley remains vibrant. The mill embodies the enterprising spirit of the Welsh pioneers, showcasing the traditional family and semi-industrial mills of the 19th century. Crafted from stone, these mills utilized age-old methods to grind wheat grains into flour.
Our journey concludes in the charming town of Trevelin, known in Welsh as the "Mill Town" and often dubbed the "Garden of the Province" for its stunning springtime display of native and exotic flora. You’ll have the opportunity to explore the historic center at your leisure and indulge in local delicacies, including the renowned traditional Welsh tea.
After approximately 4 and a half hours of exploration, we’ll retrace our route back to Esquel, concluding our services with a drop-off at your hotel.
