Wildermann Return Trekking
Descripción del Tour
Start of the adventure
Our day kicks off at 9:00 a.m. at the bridge to the town of La Cumbrecita, where we rendezvous with our certified guide and fellow adventurers. Following a concise technical orientation and equipment inspection, we set off on our journey through the Historic Center, characterized by its pedestrian pathways, alpine architecture, and the distinct allure of this car-free village.
Ascent to Wank Hill
We embark on the path leading to the summit of Wank Hill, which stands at an altitude of 1,620 meters. The ascent, lasting roughly ninety minutes, involves a gentle climb of 260 meters. As we progress, the scenery begins to unfold, revealing ever more breathtaking vistas of the valley and the Cordoba mountains.
Descent to the Wildbach and arrival at the Wildermann
From the peak, we initiate our descent to the Wildbach stream —“wild stream” in German—, trailing its downstream path. Our trek leads us to the Wildermann, a striking granite formation visible from the village, integral to the region's climbing legacy. Here, early mountaineers have etched their presence in ancient summit logs, a vibrant testament to their mountain fervor.
Lunch and rest in the forest
After delving into this historically rich site, we venture into the forest for a much-needed break. We enjoy lunch beneath the canopy of trees, enveloped by the sounds of nature and a setting of complete tranquility.
Return along wooded paths
Our return journey takes us along age-old trails blanketed in lush vegetation, concluding the circuit in La Cumbrecita's historic center by approximately 3:30 p.m., leaving us with vivid memories of an experience that seamlessly blends adventure, culture, and nature.
