Tour Description
We will depart from our selected hotels in La Rioja capital, initially passing through the stunning Quebrada de Los Sauces and its impressive dam, before driving along the bank of a dry river. At this point, we will disembark and begin our trekking adventure.
Our journey will take us up the steep incline of a hillside, leading us to the summit where we will encounter the remnants of an ancient indigenous pucará. Here, we will have the opportunity to delve into the history of the area's early inhabitants and explore the fortress, which was used for observation and defense purposes.
At the Pucará, we will be treated to a breathtaking panoramic view of the Los Sauces Dam and the Sierras del Velasco. After enjoying our time at the Pucará, we will descend back to our vehicle and commence our return journey to the city of La Rioja.
