Descripción del Tour
At 7 AM, we will set off from our selected hotels to explore the charming town of Calingasta. This tranquil destination invites visitors to wander its mountain trails, embrace the warmth of its locals, and partake in a variety of activities.
As we travel, we'll have the opportunity to admire natural viewpoints and take breaks at rest areas. Our journey will lead us to Barreal, situated within Calingasta, after passing through the scenic Quebrada de Las Burras. From there, we'll proceed to Pampa El Leoncito, a renowned flatland perfect for sand yachting, where wind-powered, three-wheeled vehicles glide across the terrain.
We will then visit the Pampa El Leoncito Astronomical Complex, nestled within a vast 70,000-hectare Astronomical Reserve. With 270 to 300 clear nights annually, this site is ideal for celestial observation. It stands as the premier astronomical facility in both Argentina and South America.
Our guided tour of the complex will last 45 minutes, during which we'll explore the "Jorge Sahade" telescope, view astronomical images, and attend a concise informative session.
On our return journey to San Juan city, we'll enjoy a panoramic view of Cerro Alcázar and stroll through its uniquely beautiful formations.
After this enriching experience, we'll arrive back at our selected hotels in San Juan around 8 PM.
