Tour Description

At the designated time, we will depart from our chosen hotels in San Luis to commence our tour. Our first stop will be El Volcán, a tranquil summer village named after the nearby river and its torrent. Along the Volcan River, you'll witness stunning features such as the Salto Colorado and La Hoya, a picturesque natural stone formation where you can enjoy a swim in its serene waters.

We will then proceed to El Trapiche, another charming summer village. In 1972, this area was home to a small town that thrived on gold extracted from local materials. It was here that the first "trapiche" was established, a hydraulic mill designed for grinding minerals.

Our journey will also take us to the La Florida Dam and Reservoir, which harnesses the waters of the Rio Grande and the Trapiche River, forming the Rio Quinto. This dam serves as the primary freshwater source for San Luis and Villa Mercedes. The area offers various campsites and a reserve dedicated to preserving the native wildlife. Additionally, the reservoir provides opportunities for water sports, including diving.

We will conclude our tour with visits to the tourist destination Estancia Grande and the locality of El Durazno, before returning to our selected hotels in San Luis.
